DiscoverU Health is a preventive-first medical practice delivering a concierge-style experience to our members across the DMV area. Our mission is to make healthcare more personal, proactive, and accessible — focusing on prevention, early intervention, and compassionate care that truly meets people where they are.

As we prepare to launch this fall, we’re looking for Family Practice Physicians who want to be part of something new, meaningful, and member-centered. This is a per diem role to start, with the potential to grow into part-time or full-time based on practice growth and membership volume.

Role Overview:

As a Family Practice Physician with DiscoverU Health, you’ll deliver comprehensive care for adults — focused on prevention, wellness, and chronic disease management — through a mix of in-person, virtual, and home-based visits. You’ll help shape personalized care plans that support each member’s long-term health goals and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide in-person, virtual, or in-home primary care visits (depending on membership plan).
Conduct routine physical exams, screenings, and wellness assessments for adult members.
Develop and manage individualized care plans in collaboration with our care team.
Educate members on preventive health strategies and chronic disease management.
Coordinate referrals and collaborate with specialists when needed.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and documentation.
Provide education to patients regarding health maintenance and disease prevention.
Participate in regular team check-ins and contribute to continuous improvement of the member experience.

Requirements:

Active MD or DO license in D.C., Maryland, or Virginia.
Board certified in Family Medicine.
Current credentialing with major insurance providers strongly preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of direct adult primary care experience preferred.
Excellent bedside manner with a genuine desire to serve, heal, and personalize care.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a small, agile team.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Commitment to delivering timely, compassionate care.
